Phyllis Rector has lived in metropolitan Phoenix for over 20 years and believes in local business and community associations.  She belongs to the Arizona Small Business Association and Arizona Excellence Networking Group.   Demonstrating INTERFACE's commitment to the construction industry, Phyllis also belongs to the Air Conditioning Contractors Association - Arizona, serving on the Membership Committee.  Phyllis has a desire to strengthen the economy of metropolitan Phoenix and Arizona and realizes that the real business strength of America is her small businesses. Phyllis served as a Girl Scout leader for 13 years, helping 3 girls achieve their Gold Awards.  She has held volunteer positions at her church, where she currently serves on the vestry and chairs the Newcomer Welcoming Committee, and at her children's schools.

Phyllis has previous experience in the investment industry, holding management positions in trading and underwriting both tax-exempt and taxable bonds with First Interstate Bank and with various broker/dealers before she moved to Arizona.  She earned her MBA in Finance from Arizona State University and her undergraduate degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.
